Paul Lapointe * |
Each work I create is done with openness, chance and intuition. After a limited process of editing and direction, what emerges is to be respected on its own terms and sent out into the world to fend for itself. Its interpretation is affected by the personal perspective of those who see it, and by the context in which it is seen. I am comfortable working with organic and natural materials. |

Doug Linglebach |
Doug Lingelbach was born
and raised in Saskatchewan. As
he was training to become an arborist over 20 years ago, he used his
talent with a chainsaw to carve a chair out of a giant cottonwood tree.
This led to various styles of sculpture created from the wood he became
acquainted with through his relationship with trees. Wood has a
natural shape and Doug allows for this shape to show itself through his
carvings. |
